Background
The college of computing and IT is established in 2007 and now offers two undergraduate programs namely as
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
The college promotes excellence in teaching, scholarly activity, creative endeavors, and public service. The curriculum is grounded in the fundamental principles of computing and IT and will prepare students to apply these principles creatively and responsibly with a high degree of professionalism and a clear understanding of ethical and legal issues in computer science and IT.
The College utilizes available resources to impart state-of-the-art technical knowledge, develop students’ verbal and written communication skills, and instill a desire to pursue lifelong learning.
The Bachelor of Computer Science is a 4-year program designed to provide a deeper understanding of all aspects of computer technology. The curriculum for the Bachelor’s in Computer Science has been crafted to provide students with in-depth computer knowledge and technical skills. Students will take a deep dive into database management, design and computer programming languages.
As part of the program, you’ll combine theory with hands-on experience to learn how to create and analyse computer-based systems. You’ll develop the strong analytical, logical and development skills necessary to advance computing and its applications.
This degree program can also help you specialize in cyber security, data science, machine learning, programming languages or scientific computing. You’ll graduate ready to launch into an exciting career with skills that are in high demand from some of the world’s biggest technology corporations.
